Yesterday's appointment started as they all do - with a lovely visit to the scale with the midwife. Apparently I have lost a pound (net "official" gain of 6 pounds) but I find that to be crap because my scale at home said I'd gained a pound (net "unofficial" gain of 9 pounds).
Next up was blood pressure - a lovely 92 over 68. They've been pretty happy with my blood pressure all along altho this is a hair on the low side.
Then was the GBS test. If you're unfamiliar, all humans have strep in their bodies and on their skin but it is generally not an issue. That said, if you are positive internally, you risk transferring it to the baby during delivery and that is a huge problem. So they take a swab to see if you're positive and, if you are, they give you antibiotics during labor to protect the baby. No biggie.
Hmm . . . other news . . . tummy still measuring 3 weeks behind, Daniel's heartbeat was 142, not dilated at all.
Next week is the 36 week growth scan on Friday the 13th!
