It should be noted here that this is one of the MANY outfits (at least 6) that proclaim the baby to be like Daddy. We have Handsome Like Daddy, Daddy's Sidekick, Daddy's Little Speedster, etc, ad infinitum . . . Mommy items? Only one.
We actually receive a 3 month, 6 month and 9 month version of this little sports sleep 'n' play . . . hopefully you will all enjoy seeing pictures of Daniel in it!
Daniel's library and diaper stash are both off to good starts.
This Bon Jovi onesie from Kir (who else!!) is soooo cute. Won't fit him until he's about one - hopefully he'll know a song or two by then!
These crab outfits have a matching hat!
The dog stuff is awesome - and so soft!
We also received this fabulously soft blue rug which, as The Dude says, really ties the room together.
I'm pretty excited about the Baby Bather and the bath products - bubble bath, lotion, etc.
Daniel has begun to have a bit of a toy collection and a bit of a hat collection. While not a hat person myself, I think that my son will be - purely because I am so taken with how cute they are!
Some of my favorite things are the handmade items. This one was made by one of the eldest ladies in the congregation.
My sister found a great Noah's Ark patch and put it on a onesie.
Grandma's previous knitting talent can be seen in this post but she out-did herself with this teeny tiny little sweater. I put my hand down so you can see the size. It's so sweet and soft and, as B says, "looks like it was made for a mini person" . . . uh, yeah . . .
Now before your heads explode from too much cute-ness, hilarity ensued at the Baby Shower as I opened these next few items - all designed to make sure everyone understands that Daniel's AUNT is fantastic . . . and his uncle isn't bad, either! I've promised that if he's born early, he'll wear one of these to the wedding. This first one is a little hard to read - says "I'm Awesome like Auntie"
We're done with the clothes now, I promise. (Seriously, that wasn't everything. This kid has some ridiculously cute stuff). These next few "gadgets" are things that I have researched and read about and am very excited to try.
This is the Halo SleepSack Swaddler. Because babies aren't supposed to have anything in their cribs with them - and because a traditional swaddle blanket always has the possibility of coming loose - the folks at Halo have designed this gem. The top fits over baby's clothes like overalls and the bottom is enclosed like a wearable sleeping bag. Around baby's middle, the two flaps can be snuggly Velcro-ed in place. Baby is snug and warm and secure.
Next up is the Moby Wrap. Unlike traditional carriers (which we have as well - for when he's bigger), the Moby allows baby to positioned several different ways and then securely held in place by the long fabric that is wound around the wearer.

These last three are items that all my mom friends say are "must haves" - the sound machine plays a few different songs as well as night sounds and ocean waves. The baby monitor is self-explanatory but I'm having a hard time remembering that it's not really "Baby's first walkie-talkie" . . . lol. Finally there's the breast pump which I am just thrilled about. All the research says that the Medela products are excellent.
So, these are the highlights . . . having Daniel's room almost set is a great feeling and it's amazing to know that in just a few short weeks (just over 10!) there will be a little person living here!
