Nope.

Feeling “normal” . . .

Food cravings:
Not really but there are tons of things that I don’t want at all.
Anything making you queasy or sick:
Too many things – food cooking, anything greasy, eggs. So sad.

You decide. I’m saying it’s just bloat

7 weeks!

*No pic of me due to the stupid snowstorm we had. This post is late but was written at 7 weeks.

How far along? 7 weeks

Weight gain/loss? Still below “pre-pregnancy” weight. Sitting on -2, actually.                                                                                                       Maternity clothes? Nope.
Stretch marks?
Nope.
Sleep:
I’m always sleepy. Yay for naps.

B put the crib together! Pics
Have you told family and friends:
Yep. And it’s been really fun and exciting.
Miss anything?
Not yet.
Movement:
Nope.
Food cravings:
Hmmm … I want juice a lot. And salt and vinegar Pringles – not just any chips. B says he doesn’t want the baby to be a Pringle.
Anything making you queasy or sick:
The smell of food cooking.
Have you started to show yet:
Not officially. I’m totally bloated tho.
Gender prediction:
Boy!
Labor Signs:
Nope.
Belly Button in or out?
In.
Wedding rings on or off?
On. And I’m going to have to be really suffering to take them off.
Happy or Moody most of the time:
Happy but also kind of weepy.
Looking forward to:
Looking pregnant instead of like I ate all the pies . . .

Crib & Changing Table

So RIGHT when I found out I was pregnant, there was a big sale going on and my mother in law wanted to buy the baby a crib and changing table. When we first got them home, B told me that he would probably wait until summer to put the crib together.

Apparently, summer came early . . .

And then here is the matching changing table. I am going to change out the knobs on it tho.

B thinks that our nursery looks too "girly" but I contend that yellow is a perfect baby color and not a color that favors either gender.

Valentine's Roses for the Baby

Appropriately, gender neutral . . .

Side note: people keep asking me if we know what we're having. I don't claim to have been good at biology but I'm pretty sure there'd be no way to know that at all right now. I'm enjoying answering "a baby"

;-)

6 weeks!

** For the record: I know this pic sucks. I’m going to partner with my friend Kirsten for better ones starting next week.
How far along? 6 weeks
Weight gain/loss? The last time I weighed myself “pre-pregnancy” (actually about 4 weeks) I was 157.5  - down 25 pounds since I started swimming and being more healthy this fall. Ironically, I have lost another 3 pounds – and I’m definitely not dieting! So, weight is 154.5                                                                                                     Maternity clothes? Nope.
Stretch marks?
Nope.
Sleep:
On  the one hand, I’m sleeping really well because I am so tired but I still wake up in the night around 4  most nights. It’s not the dogs waking me up, I’m just awake . . .
Best moment this week:
Knowing I have a good reason for being so tired.
Have you told family and friends:
Yep. And it’s been really fun and exciting.
Miss anything?
Not yet.
Movement:
Nope.
Food cravings:
Nothing “official” altho I have wanted to drink more milk. I’ve been making delicious grilled cheese sandwiches, too
Anything making you queasy or sick:
Ive been a little queasy pretty much whenever I get hungry.
Have you started to show yet:
Not officially. I’m totally bloated tho.
Gender prediction:
Girl!
Labor Signs:
Nope.
Belly Button in or out?
In.
Wedding rings on or off?
On. And I’m going to have to be really suffering to take them off.
Happy or Moody most of the time:
HAPPY. Someone at work said I’ve been very calm since we found out I’m pregnant – I didn’t have the heart to tell her I was just conserving energy.
Looking forward to:
Hmmm . . . my next appointment at 10 weeks.

Starting early

A friend a work brought these - cracked me up. The funniest part is that I really like pickles so I don't even need the "pregnancy excuse" to eat them!

Announcing

My boss was so excited to hear that I'm pregnant that she brought these balloons to work. They're weighted by saltine crackers which I (thankfully!) don't need (yet). It was pretty funny to see how people reacted - some didn't notice (how do you miss this?), and some though it was my birthday. Too funny.

I have to say, it's one of the most creative pregnancy announcements I've ever seen!
