I'll update all the stats and do his "official" 4 month pics this weekend but for now here's an update in pics.
Here are Daniel and Warner on the learning foam at school. Warner is exactly a month younger than Daniel (Nov 21) so Daniel "talks" to him and Warner just stares back. Apparently this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
The big news that Mr 4 Months has to share with you is that he can now roll back to belly! He started doing it on the evening of Feb 13 (during a diaper change - don't worry, I'm not going to post that pic!) and has been going ever since. Here he is showing off his "Superman" pose
It absolutely cracks me up that if you put him on his tummy he's super duper mad but if he rolls to his tummy he's happy and will burble at the walls and pose for pictures.
Interestingly (or not, I guess), he only rolls to his left and can't roll back once he's on his tummy. One of his teachers at school told me that most of the babies have a "favorite" direction and stick with it for a while. Here's an action shot - halfway over! He did occasionally lack momentum and get stuck on his side but he gets so mad when this happens that I don't have a pic of it.
We had to go out to dinner with my MIL on Valentine's Day so I passively aggressively dressed Daniel in this lovely top from the NZ fam. I regret nothing.
Daniel is getting a lot better about being in his car seat - especially if there is something cool to look at. Thank goodness he didn't realize that everyone else had food and he only had a toy monkey ...
Speaking of the car seat . . . this is happening. If you can't tell, he's reaching up and playing with the toy on his car seat. This had never happened before Monday and now he loves to shake that thing. So nice to have him happy (well, happier) in the car.
Daniel is also the King of Funny Faces and will chatter and smile. I love getting a huge grin from him but it's labor-intensive and I usually can't get a pic. This is from Sunday when he was explaining to me that he enjoyed the Sunday service but would have preferred more exciting music.
Thanks for reading!
