1. Chinese Gender Chart – based on due date: girl

2. Chinese Gender Chart – based on conception date: boy

3. Morning sickness (lots is a girl and none is a boy): girl

4. Fetal heartbeat (in theory, lower than 140 bpm is boy): girl

5. Hands (dry for boy and damp for girl): boy

6. Hands (supposedly if you ask a pregnant woman to show her hands and she shows you her palms, it’s a girl. I had previously known about this old wives’ tale and have purposefully shown one palm up and one palm down when I’ve been asked): draw

7 . Mayans (the Mayans say that if the mother’s age at conception and the year of conception are both either odd or both even, it’s a girl. Opposite, and it’s a boy. I was 31 in 2013 …): girl

8. Right/Left (supposedly if you prefer to lie on your left side, it’s a boy. Right, it’s a girl): boy

9. Hair (supposedly thin and dull means a girl and thick and glossy means a boy): boy

10. Beauty (in theory, a baby girl steals her mother’s beauty so if you are breaking out like crazy, it’s a girl. If you are glowing and beautiful, it’s a boy … we’re going to skip right over “glowing and beautiful” and land on the fact that I’m not breaking out…) : boy
11. Cravings (if the mother to be wants sweets, it’s a girl but salty is a boy): girl

12. Toes (if your feet are cold, it’s a boy but if they are the same, girl . . . what if your feet are cold and that is the same as before? These are getting dumber the more I find) : draw
